This programme offers a unique opportunity to combine the Intensive Spanish Program with an internship in a Spanish company. Students will gain not only valuable work experience, but will also explore a particular field from a cross-cultural perspective in Spain.
The internship is offered to students who have successfully completed first year of College/University in their country of origin, as established by Spanish law (el Real Decreto 1497/1981 of June 19 and of September 9, 1994), dealing with Programas de Cooperación Educativa.
The internship usually lasts between 8 weeks (minimum) and four months (maximum). It is not a work contract between the company and the student. The internship is based on an educational agreement between the company and the school. To make sure that all the conditions are clearly understood, they must also be approved by the participant.
Internships in Spain are unpaid as the emphasis is placed on applying the Spanish language skills you have developed in the classroom in a working environment. However, the student sometimes receives a voluntary stipend from the participating company.
